This Month in Eastern Freestyle - November/December Report:

Here I am! Sorry for the delay - this lack of snow is making me BUSIER!!

It is a shame that Killington had to cancel the Central B Opener - but not surprising...woah...what a start. I hope all of you will take advantage of training opportunities this month at your home mountains and we will see our B Central Region Mogulers at Sugarbush for the Sugar Slide on Jan 2 and 3!

We are still adding new layers to the Eastern website and I am hopeful that pictures, videos and an interactive piece will be added to the site by the end of 2009.

I have two new items for you this month:

1. Check out the new Lodging Discount link under the Events link. We hope this will be a great addition to Eastern Freestyle this year. Thanks to Marnie Hock for all her hard work with this new endeavor for us!

2. Check out the Eastern Freestyle Community Handbook under the Base Lodge link. Hopefully it will become a great resource tool for all of us as we continue to add to it over the years.

Athletes:  I am sure all of you are excited to be back on snow this month! The month of December is an important one to bring all of your advances in summer training into play on snow before the competition season starts. Train hard! The On-Snow Qualifier Date for the Eastern Division will be posted shortly. Stay tuned!

Good luck to all of you competing at the US Selection Events in Winter Park and Park City.

Also, good luck to our Eastern Athletes AT THE PEAK in the first World Cups in Finland and France!

Coaches: Be sure your name is on the 2009-2010 Eastern Coaches' List. Let your program director know if you are missing.

Parents: Be sure you understand the new procedure for registering for B meets.

Officials: Look for your 2009-2010 assignments to be posted shortly.

Program Directors/Event Organizers:  Please be sure to have found your event packets by now in the mail. Please get the Schedule Agreements signed and back to the Eastern Office - STAT. Eastern Freestyle will cover all sanctioning fees this year and will deduct from your online registration reimbursement.

This Month in Eastern Freestyle - October Report:

The event schedule is in its final stages. The website has had a complete overhaul and we are still fine tuning. Meanwhile, some of the lucky people have already been skiing!

Athletes: Get registered for your programs, work hard with fall dry land training, secure all your equipment, respond to US Selections' invitations, and get some rest before we board the CRAZY TRAIN!!!

Parents/Officials/Coaches: Please find clinic information on the Officials link as November and December bring all types of clinics to Eastern Freestyle for TD's, Judges, Coaches and Scorers.

Program Directors: Remember to send an updated coach list to us so we can update our list online for event organizers. Send list here.

Event Organizers: Please find the Eastern Freestyle event packets in your mailboxes at the beginning of November. We will expect a quick turnaround! We went through a transition of ownership of this responsibility this year. Thanks for your patience.

Community: Please read the Eastern Section of the USSA Competition Guide to review the new rules of our game for 09-10.
